An Introduction to Genetic Programming and the Impact of Initial Mean Structure Size
This talk is a basic introduction to the concept and underlying theory of
genetic programming. A series of classic symbolic regression problems will
demonstrate that the best mean tree size for the initial population is
slightly smaller than the shortest s-expression that solves the problem.
