Funded Ph.D. Position in Artificial Intelligence in Smart Grid Research
The Smart Grid Research Lab at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) has openings for funded PhD positions
to eligible domestic applicants in the area of Artificial Intelligence with Applications to Smart Grid. The
students will be trained with courses in both areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as Smart Power Grids to
conduct innovative and practical research in the following research areas:
- AI in Grid Integration of Renewable and Distributed Energy Resources
- AI in Grid Monitoring, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning
- AI in Grid Operation, Control, and Optimization
- AI in Cyber-Security in Power Systems
Eligibility:
- U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card)
- Submission of Federal FAFSA Application (Meeting the Federal Student Aid Requirements)
Funding is primarily provided through GAANN Fellowships in Artificial Intelligence in Science and Engineering -
