As a fellow State employee working for the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) State Water Project (SWP) I?m
reaching out to request your assistance recruiting an engineer for my office located in Castaic. We?ve generally had a
hard time filling Electrical Engineering positions due to the challenges we face in advertising openings outside of the

Some specifics include:

  *  Starting pay is starting approximately $70k
  *  The ideal candidate is an early/mid career Electrical Engineer who is interested in working in the Hydroelectric
     field
  *  There is extensive training available for new hires and a good mix of both field and office work
  *  Castaic is minutes away from the city of Santa Clarita, known for great schools and housing communities. We?re
     4-exits past Six Flags Magic Mountain off I-5
  *  The commute from almost anywhere is easy, its opposite of Los Angeles traffic

About DWR State Water Project:

The California State Water Project (SWP), a water storage and delivery system of reservoirs, aqueducts, power plants and
pumping plants that includes 36 storage facilities, 21 pumping plants, five hydroelectric power plants, four
pumping-generating plants, and approximately 705 miles of canals, tunnels, and pipelines, is seeking an exceptionally
talented and motivated to apply and further develop their technical design knowledge and broaden their project
management and leadership skills.
