Job description


We have an immediate opening for several software developer interns to create and maintain software programs for our business. The
ideal candidate has a strong background in software development. He or she will have an enhanced facility with the Windows
operating system and associated hardware. The ideal candidate is a hard-working individual with a creative but analytical mindset.
He or she should be self-motivated and self-supervised.


Responsibilities and Duties


* Writing code and testing in-house software programs

* Debug code for existing programs based on immediate need

* Conduct end-user training upon completion of software

* Balance workday between multiple projects and respond immediately to tech support requests from staff

* Implement systems in in-house production environment

* Troubleshoot system bugs and issues

* Skills and Qualifications

* Experience with C#, and SQL

* Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft software

* Experience in .NET Web Development

* Ability to focus on multiple projects at once and to troubleshoot problems quickly


Job Type: Paid internship


Term: 16 weeks, starting in April 2022


Compensation


Please be aware that Avadine is not able to negotiate compensation and all compensation and financial aid questions should be
directed to Dr. Alberto C Cruz at acruz37 at csub.edu. Compensation is awarded by a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
As such, it is a fixed amount and is not negotiable.


1) Participants in the internship program will be compensated $5,000 as a stipend. Individuals graduating in Spring 2022 can
continue to be compensated in Summer 2022. The stipend is paid as financial aid, so a completed FAFSA is required. If you do not
qualify for other sources of financial aid as determined by your FAFSA you are still able to receive $5,000. However, a FAFSA must
be completed prior to your application to the internship.


2) Individuals participating in the internship become eligible to take up to 4 units for credit toward their degree (Experiential
Prior Learning). This credit counts toward your upper-division elective category for all Computer Science and Computer Engineering
majors.


Minimum requirements


* Must be a full-time student in Spring 2022

* Must have a minimum 2.0 CSUB GPA to apply

* Must have completed CMPS 2020

* Must have completed or be currently enrolled in CMPS 2120

* Must have a complete FAFSA


Preferred requirements


* Must have completed or be currently taking CMPS 3350 Software Engineering, or

* Must have completed or be currently taking all the following courses: CMPS 3240 and CMPS 3600.
