Partial Differential Equations - MATH402

This course is an introduction to partial differential equations. An integral part of this course involves the concepts of orthogonal sets of functions, function spaces, and various transforms. Graphical programs will be provided to help the students visualize the solutions and their dependence upon the boundary conditions.

The prerequisites for this course are Mathematics 214 (or knowledge of vector calculus) and Ordinary Differential Equations (Mathematics 302, although one really only needs to know the theory of linear ODE's with constant coefficients).

You should take the makefile which corresponds to your platform, make a copy of it under the new name Makefile and add any customizations you wish to that file.

makefile.unx ( Makefile for Digital Unix and other Unix/Linuxes )
makefile.lnx ( Makefile for GCC compiler under RedHat Linux 6.x -- other ports of Linux will require minor editing )
makefile.xdk ( Makefile for Exceed XDK Development Kit for Windows NT with MSVC Compiler )
