Mel Colmcille Gerard Gibson is an American actor and filmmaker. He is best known as an main actor from Mad Max and Lethal Weapon series. But for me he is a great filmmaker in the first place. His Hacksaw Ridge and Braveheart are one of my favorites. One of his main features as a director is lack of special effects and CGI in purpose to the things as they are.
