Delaney Welch CMPS 2680-60 Project Proposal As you may know, the Critical Role fandom has played in a large role in my assignments with you this semester. As such I am very excited to maintain that theme for the final. So, I have two ideas about what I can do for my final website. The first I can do a detail orientated overview throughout the entire first campaign of Vox Machina. It would be similar to that of either the blog or the informational/news site. So, lets start answering the prompted questions. 1. For the first suggestion, I'd name it the CriticalRole RollCall. 2. It is an informational storyline reitteration of the campaign of Vox Machina. 3. As always my target audience for my vox machina content, I hope this finds like minded people who would enjoy the information my site would provide. 4. There are 3 different ways I could outline this to were it would effect the length and content of the website. 1. I could base my webpage on the characters and their growth of the characters throughout the series. That would be a minimum 1-2 pages per character and there was a total of 8-10 characters if you count the side kicks which knowing me I'd probably at the least try to put a small section in for them. 2. The second thing I could base it on would be the various journeys the partners made throughout the campaign. That would also be about 4-5 towns/missions and each one could last a page or 2 leaving us with about 10ish pages total. 3. Lastly, I could do it based on the growth of residency that the group has, ie westmount, the airasharie temples the temples of the raven queen etc. there's one for each character so again probably about 10 pages again. 5. For the informational one it will have pictures, descriptions, and a bit of user input maybe as a survey after for "the best of the best" for opinions.? 6. Gather information, navigating specified pages for each topic, the survey, reading mainly covers the basic function of the website. 7. I'd prefer it to be a series of links to pages than to have an extremely long page filled with information, pictures, and such. 8. I'd probably try and have it be as clean looking as possible so its not overly chaotic for the reader and so that the pictures really stand out on the pages. 9. There would be the main page and then either the continuation down the page to the survey at the bottom. 10. Yes there are many websites similar to this. Wikis are most common. the difference between mine and theirs is the number of pictures I'd have in mine whereas many of theirs would have one picture maximum if they had any at all. furthermore theirs are capable of being edited by other users where I would rather mine not be edited like that. 11. For mine I'd love to have a workable search engine to where it were capable of finding the inserted word in any and all pages I have on it. 12. I'm super excited about any option you approve. The second would type of website I could would be to craft a store for possible dnd based items for purchase. ill be honest while this one sounds like soooooo much fun and I'd be super excited about crafting it myself, there are also numerous elements in it that i know we've gone over but ive just never been able to get 110% working and this would be super detail orientated and pictures and references so much background work on this one. this one would obviously be more in line with the online shopping eCommerce prompt. But lets get specific with answering some questions. 1. For the first suggestion, I'd name it based off of any of the stores that have been mentioned in any of the campaigns. 2. It is an informational storyline reitteration of the campaign of Vox Machina. 3. As always my target audience for my vox machina content, I hope this finds like minded people who would enjoy the information my site would provide. 4. I'd likely outline this based on any website and have it based on categories, ie potions, clothing, armory type items, etc. If I were super pressed to fill it with items, I could fill it with one page per category, so i could likely have 4-8 pages on my site maybe more depending on time I'd like to dedicate to it. 5. For the informational one it will have pictures, descriptions, and I'd try for some check boxes and tracking so that people can buy them but then again I may have more luck trying to aim it for dm's as a tool so they have open access for the store for their own campaigns not necessarily for a "buy here (insert customer service cheesy smile)" especially since the store won't sell actual physical items. 6. Go dnd shopping, navigating specified pages for each topic, the store mainly covers the basic function of the website. 7. I'd prefer it to be a series of links to pages than to have an extremely long page filled with information, pictures, and such. 8. I'd probably try and have it be as clean looking as possible so its not overly chaotic for the reader and so that the pictures really stand out on the pages. 9. There would be the main page highlighting "new" items or any "specials" that the store would have on it and then either the continuation down the page to the survey at the bottom. 10. Yes there are many websites similar to this. The difference between mine and theirs is theirs ideally contain real items of a physical nature rather than mine of a fictional dnd nature. 11. For mine I'd love to have a workable search engine to where it were capable of finding the inserted word in any and all pages I have on it. 12. I'm super excited about any option you approve. Im open and super excited about all of my options so I may wind up doing them all anyways on my own time but I think if I were to start with any I think the simplest most fun version of it would likely be the store which is super exciting!
