What I do
My first passion was painting which opened my eyes to the visual langauge behind art. Through painting I learned how to channel emotion through my brush that could conjure a feeling in the viewer. I even learned that art can engage an audience to think or understand complex ideas just through paint on canvas. Soon after I found graphic design as an outlet to apply my abilities to help people fulfill their life's work. When I began university I decided to go a step further as a graphic designer and learn coding to become a web developer. Here's a peek at some of the skills I've gained working in the field of design over the past 10 years.
I know a few languages
As a web developer I'm proficient in html, css, and javascript. I also dabble in software development and can code in C, C++, C#, java, python, and assembly. I'm also learning french in my free time.
Visual Artist
I've worked as a character design artist, concept artist, and animator. As a visual artist I'm an expert with the Adobe Design Suite especially Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and inDesign..
Logo Design
Logo design is my favorite aspect of graphic design. I've designed over twenty logos over the years and see it as the quintessential intersection between art and function.
Branding
I've designed everything from business cards to custom buttons for clients that range from local realtors to industry giants like Amazon. Branding is essential for any company to be taken seriously so I put my heart and soul into every project regardless of scale.
Photography
I take pictures for the Daily Bugle. Ok, that's not true, but I'm an amateur photographer and if you want to see some of my work, check out my Instagram
Music Production
I produce music as a hobby and also do contract work as a mixing engineer. I primarily work in Ableton 10 and my favorite plugin suite is the waves collection
