The name of my website will be SKH Artist's Portfolio. Because I am an art major, I have decided to create a site that acts as a mock portfolio for my most recent artwork. The purpose of my website is to display my work as well as my artist's statement, artist's curriculum vitae, contact information, and social media accounts. The target audience would be any person who is a potential employee recruiter or a potential client for commission work. The information on my webpage will include a brief biography about me as an artist, my art pieces (along with a title and brief description of each piece), links to my social media accounts, my contact information, and a link to my Redbubble shop. I want viewers to be able to explore my site freely, and they should be able to see every available link at the homepage. I will have a minimum of 6 pages for my entire site, consisting of the homepage, artist's information, art galleries (categorized by theme/medium), and links of potential ways to contact me. My pages will have a consistent, vertical navigation bar, and either one or two columns per page for the layout, and I have thought about using pastel colors for my overall theme. The only similar website to this final project is an already existing portfolio I have on Artstation.com. It is a portfolio site that I am using specifically for internship and job applications. However, Artstation's default portfolio lacks personal customization, so making my own portfolio site will feel a lot more personal. The homepage will reveal the title, "SKH Artist's Portfolio," and my full name underneath. There will be a link within the navigation bar, titled, "About," which will direct the user to a page showing my artist's statement and my curriculum vitae. Another link, titled, "Contact," will direct the user to a page of my available emails. In reference to the gallery of images, the navigation bar will have a link, titled, "Portfolio." I want to first create a list of thumbnail-sized images that are separated into categories of the type of art (they may be separated by theme or medium). When clicked on, the image will enlarge and show beside it the piece's title, and a brief description about it. The footer of each page will hold icons that will redirect the user to my social media accounts. I plan on using pastel colors and minimal designs to decorate my webpage. This gives my page personality without distracting the user from its intended purpose: to present my artwork.
