The SCP foundation is a fictional organization whoa re responsible for locating and containing individuals, entities, locations, and objects that violate natural law (reffered to as SCPs).
Many entries on the SCP website consist of defining the SCP and their history. The history contains information regarding the finding of the SCP, how it was contained, how it is currently being contained and any incident reports that have happened while it was within the SCP foundations holding and out of the SCP foundations holding.
