Final Project Proposal

My name of my website is Los Angeles Chargers. It will mirror what is on ESPN's team page for the Chargers.

I will have 4 pages. On my homepage, I will have scrolling images of the team and the players. This page will also have the news of the team. Most recently it will have news about the draft. I will also write about the move from San Diego to Los Angeles. I am originially from San Diego, so I have watched the Chargers my entire life. I have friends and family who are angry because of the move and some who are understanding. Here will be the best use of the comment wall because this story when it first came out, people were very opinionated.

The next page will be roster. It will use a database of the members of the team. The primary key will be the jersey number. The default view will be the SELECT * FROM Players. The user will be able to search by the columns of the table to narrow the search. The columns will be jersey number, first name, last name, position, height, weight, and school attended. The default view of the tables will be a single line table of each player. There will be a button, similar to Project 2, that will show a larger view of the player's card, which will be similar to the previous lab.

The next page will be similar to the roster page, but will show statistics of last season for the players. The columns will be passing yards, passing ttouchdowns, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns for offense. The colums will be tackles, sacks, interceptions for defense. There will be a button to view the players card. It will be the same as the one linked to the roster page.

The next page will be a schedule. It was also have a database with the information of the games (opponenet, time and day, location). This will show the entire table.

The user will be to login to access the textarea and leave the comment on the wall on each page. The client will need to login to access this part of the page. If Session is not set, the user will not be able to create a comment and post to the wall. The button below the tables will be login if the user is not logged in. If session is set, the user will be able to post a comment. The username will automatically post with a timestamp at the time of the posting.

I frequently visit ESPN.com multiple times a day. I would want the style to resemble the layout of their website. Although, I will not have the same color scheme of ESPN. I will base the colors of the Chargers, blue and gold. I will have a banner that will be sshows on each page with the navigation bar below. I would like to have a stationary image backgroun of the Stubhub Stadium in Carson, CA. This is where the Chargers will play for the next two seasons until their new stadium is built in Inglewood. My body with be opaque to show the stadium from behind the text.
