The Kegley Institute of Ethics (KIE) is committed to ethics education, both at and beyond the California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) campus. KIE has active ethics education projects at CSUB in the form our Ethics Across Campus Initiative that provides interdisciplinary ethics education workshops and support for CSUB faculty members so that they, in turn, can introduce ethics into their undergraduate courses. In addition, KIE sponsors the CSUB Ethics Bowl Team, a group of undergraduate students who compete, annually, in the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Competition (hosted by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics). KIE directors and affiliate faculty members also provide ethics guest lectures and consulting for faculty members and community organizations.
