The Kegley Institute of Ethics and Walter W. Stiern Library are hosting a panel and community conversation on the topic of marijuana legalization and policy in Kern County at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18th in the Dezember Reading Room (Walter W. Stiern Library). The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Kegley Family, Kaiser Permanente, Adventist Health Bakersfield, and Kern Schools Federal Credit Union. 

Event panelists include Ms. Ana Olvera, M.S., LFMT from Kern Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Department, Professor Dirk Horn, a lecturer of Political Science at CSUB, and Dr. Josh Meisel, Co-director of the Humboldt Institute for Interdisciplinary Marijuana Research and professor of Sociology at Humboldt State University. Dr. Michael D. Burroughs, director of the Kegley Institute of Ethics, will moderate.
