Agenda/Topics

What do you get when you combine LGBTQIA+ with NH/PI? A beautiful group of QTPIs pronounced "cutie pies"! QTPI stands for Queer and/or Transgender Pacific Islanders, which is a combination of LGBTQIA+ and NH/PI (Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander). This talanoa (talk) will feature oral histories and stories from QTPIs who share significant life moments like creating the first QTPI organization in the US, to creating and directing award winning plays, to even a CSUB alum who found her LGBTQ family here at CSUB during the late 80s. Hear directly from the voices of QTPIs and learn more about an overlooked group of movers and shakers who are changing the world one story at a time.

Location

Free and open to the public. Bring your own brown-bag lunch. Light refreshments will also be provided.
